Re: Little surprises
"Beanie baby" has been RFID ear tagged and sexed. It is a boy, by the way.
As for the Texan claiming lots of snow, it was 9 C° (48.2 F°) today. Not much snow left, and it has been warm for weeks.

Re: Little surprises
That's more snow then we've seen here in almost a decade. 48° is too cold.

Re: Little surprises
You have seen nothing yet. Wait to you see an adolescent calf going through its first full winter:
Get your shag on.
Get your shag on.
Re: Little surprises
Too bad beefalo never caught on as a food product.
Re: Little surprises
Yeah really. Buffalo is freaking good too.
Oh well. They weren't created to look cute.

Re: Little surprises
Technically these guys are more likely to become breeding animals rather than beef, since I have been selling them to other ranchers directly ever since they closed the livestock auction in Drayton Valley.
I suppose they may end their journey as baloney though. After a glorious time being a stud.

Re: Little surprises
Been a little while, but we got another bull calf today:
Don't think I have ever delivered a calf at 30 C° (86 F°) before. Now just one more to go.
