Looks like a hook with a cross to me. Maybe it's a circle, and the lower left portion of it is covered behind the white light, but the endings are quite sharp and thus it looks like a hook. Oh well.

Caleb is too thin, though, and his legs are a bit too long. But, maybe it is supposed to be a stylized drawing? I don't know much about this. But all in all, it does look good.
