Re: Theme Update
For me the forum is laggy and resource-hungry as s***. I suspect the blood trickle at the top to be the culprit. Anyone else have this?

Well, this is really starting to look promising, isn't it?

Re: What game are you currently playing?
I have been playing Yoshi's Island for the SNES (the best platforming game of all time) and Helldivers (the best co-op game of all time). And as a free tip, Helldivers can be played for free on Steam for the next two days and there's loads of discount on the purchases: http://store.steampowered.com/...

Re: Is this still alive?
Holy s***! This is the way the game is supposed to be played. I just tried this out, expecting to get a very buggy or laggy game, but it works flawlessly. Even some of the old bugs are implemented, like the immortal burning zombie. :D I haven't tried swinging-door-killing myself yet. Running this ga...

Re: You Can Mouselook in BLOOD 1
WHY did I not know about this X/Y scaling? I guess I've only ever used the setup for Sound Blaster settings and the network configuration.

Re: BloodCM
Too bad the multiplayer is still missing from eduke32. There is an old MP version, but even on a LAN it was quite unstable and laggy.

Re: BloodCM
I was actually not aware of this project. :? (Or I may have seen it back in the days and discarded it.) I always felt that this would be the way to go for the a non-source Blood version; just build something on the open-source engine that shares 90% of it's code and behaviour with our original game....

Re: You Can Mouselook in BLOOD 1
It is possible, but you can tell that the mouselook is not on par with the one in Quake, for instance. The X-Y ratio is a bit screwy, which may be partially a problem with the BUILD engine. Afaik there is no way of manipulating the X/Y mouse speed or acceleration. Having that would kind of rock, I i...

I think you can also use the dos4gw.exe from Blood (or any other game).

Re: Jace head of Transfusion?
Seems like Jace has a vision that extends beyond the scope of TFn, so I doubt he would take it. Atari might even change their minds about the TFn agreement if the product ends up being too close to the original. From what I understand, they agreed the building of a Blood clone on an entirely differe...

Re: Jace Hall's Blood project at posty.
Da_weesel: The problem is that all the rights and benefits are divided between parties and there's no incentive for Atari to let anyone use the Blood source. A minor point; Atari only owns the assets, the code is all WB, which is where Jace hangs his hat these days. Don't feel bad as Willis had to ...

Re: Jace Hall's Blood project at posty.
Two things I believe: One: Contrary to what he says, Jason Hall he is not doing anything out of the kindness of his heart or for the good of any community. He either thinks he can make some money now with Blood, or he thinks he can make some money in the future. Possibly with a sequel or something ...

Re: Jace Hall's Blood project at posty.
BloodXL seems like a very good start. I can imagine that he feels the response from the community to be a bit underwhelming. I mean, looking at the one demo I've seen I would say that a lot of effort has gone into getting to that point. We (the silly, silly people) all just see what's not there yet....

Re: Jace Hall's Blood project at posty.
Yeah, after those first two or three posts from Jace it seemed like it was already a done deal and he was just asking the community what they wanted included in the package. Then it turns out that things aren't quite settled at all and now it suddenly seems far from actually happening. I agree with ...
